Alejandro Dalby

Alejandro, or Alex as he prefers to be called, was born in Zaragoza in 1979 to a Spanish mother and a British father. He spent his early years there, becoming fluent in both Spanish and English until eventually circumstances led him to move to the UK when he was about seven years old. Despite occasional visits to Spain to visit family there, Alex has grown quite attached to his corner of the world and has remained in the UK for most of his life.

Unlike his fellow writers at Casino.online, who first discovered online casino in their early 20s, Alex was already married and into his 30s when he had the thought of making his first ever deposit. It was a decision made out of boredom, as he had been to a land-based casino a few times and enjoyed himself, so when he saw an ad for an online equivalent he thought “What the hell, let’s try it!”

Little did he know, this would be the start of a beautiful relationship which would last for years to come. Online gambling quickly became Alex’s favourite hobby, and he often spent an hour in the evening placing a couple of small wagers on blackjack, roulette or a slot that looked interesting. Alex has always had a knack for writing, having written several short stories, so a combination of his hobbies was all but inevitable.

In the 2010s, he began writing and uploading his first-ever casino reviews - first on social media sites like Reddit, and eventually on his own blog. It was precisely that blog which brought him together with the other team members, who were impressed with his prose and objective, honest reviews. Soon afterwards, Alex agreed to lend his pen to the new online casino site!
