The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) is set to welcome Charles Mizzi as its new Chief Executive Officer from January 26, 2024.

Who is Mizzi?

This announcement follows a comprehensive search process initiated in October, with Mizzi succeeding Carl Brincat in the role.

Mizzi, a seasoned professional with five years at the Residency Malta Agency, will spend January working closely with Brincat to ensure a seamless handover. His extensive background in operations management is expected further to strengthen the MGA's position in the gaming sector.

Upon accepting the role, Mizzi expressed his gratitude and eagerness to leverage his expertise for the Authority's advancement, aiming to solidify Malta's esteemed status in the gaming industry while delivering value to all stakeholders.

Silvio Schembri, the Minister for the Economy, EU Funds and Lands, commended Brincat for his significant contributions during his three-year tenure as CEO. He also highlighted Mizzi's vast experience and pivotal role in managing major projects, deeming him an ideal fit to propel the MGA towards greater accomplishments.
