Playtech Announces New Poker Deal With La Francaise des Jeux

On 03 July 2023, Playtech announced its partnership with a well-known French gambling operator (FDJ). The operator will access Playtech’s services including poker tournaments, cash tables, Twist Poker and Playtech’s poker game.
Playtech was founded in 1999 and is a gambling leader with over 7000 employees in over 20 countries. According to Marat Koss who is the Vice president of interactive Gaming at Playtech, he said that they are very proud to partner with FDJ. By being a partner of iPoker.EU the company has made a significant step towards the French online gambling market whereby they can showcase their products and technology. He concluded by saying that Playtech looks forward to a long and successful partnership with FDJ.
The company partners in newly and regulated markets to deliver gambling technology across countries. Playtech offers its technology n a B2B basis for most operators, casino groups and even government entities like lotteries.
Richard Courtois the CEO of sports betting and online gaming further added by saying that Playtech boasts of an excellent record as a porker network and content provider. He added by saying that Playtech will offer French players additional games that will enable FDJ to compete in the growing French online gaming market.

French Online Gambling Growth
According to French regulator I’Autorite Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) there was rapid revenue growth in 2022. The annual gross gaming revenue in the previous year was $14.04bn which had increased by 0.8%. Studies have shown that 64% of the revenue was from sports betting, 16% was from horse racing and 20% was from online poker. Based on all the online games online poker performed the best and it hit €442 m in 2022. Online sports betting hit a new record by amounting to €1.38bn. The regulatory body also generated €5.6bn and as for the casinos they brought in €2.5bn.
