After a meeting with Rio de Janeiro Governor Cláudio Castro, who was present at this year’s event, SBC’s Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark unveiled the ambition to triple the event’s size, making the SBC Summit Rio 2025 the premier industry gathering in Brazil and across Latin America.
Sojmark highlighted the event’s potential for expansion, inspired by the swift sell-out of their inaugural event. “The overwhelming response for our initial edition underscored the demand for a larger platform that could cater to the growing interest in iGaming and sports betting in Brazil,” he remarked.
Riocentro: A Venue for Expansion
Securing Riocentro for at least four years, SBC has chosen a venue that spans over 40,000 square meters, offering ample space for an event of this magnitude. Facilities including Pavilion 4, the Arts Pavilion, an amphitheater, and outdoor networking areas, position Riocentro as an ideal location for hosting the largest event of its kind in Latin America.
The venue’s convenience is further accentuated by the onsite 4-star Lagune Barra Hotel and its proximity to other hotels offering shuttle services, ensuring easy access for all attendees.
Conference Insights and Networking Opportunities
SBC Summit Rio 2025 will also feature a conference component, drawing 250 industry leaders to discuss pivotal topics such as regulatory changes, sports integrity, and emerging market trends. This segment aims to foster dialogue on the future of Brazil’s gambling landscape and facilitate networking among operators, affiliates, and other key stakeholders.
Strategically Timed for Maximum Engagement
The chosen timing for the Summit not only establishes an early-year benchmark event for Brazil’s iGaming and sports betting sectors but also coincides with the onset of the Brazilian Carnival.
