Microgaming, a leading online casino games and software provider, has announced the appointment of Stephen Fisk as its new CEO.
Fisk has a wealth of experience in the iGaming industry and has been with Microgaming since October 2016 as Director of Sportsbook. Throughout his 24-year career, he worked with various major gaming companies before joining the casino supplier, Microgaming, including Rational Group (previously The Stars Group Inc).
The executive departed Microgaming in 2018 to become Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Apricot Investments. While there, he continued to collaborate actively with the Microgaming team to improve the platform technologies and services it offered.
Statement By Microgaming
Microgaming lauded Fisk’s expertise with the company’s products, clients, businesses, and employees. They congratulated him for being “well-equipped” to manage the organisation and praised his leadership potential.
According to the firm, now that Fisk is leading it, they are prepared to make “further strides” in their network of casino services and systems, sports betting applications, as well as licensing and regulatory compliance.
Fisk’s Stand
Fisk was delighted about his new position and emphasised his pleasure by saying,
“Our technology is state of the art, our experience is unparalleled, and we unequivocally have the most outstanding team in the industry.“
This establishes a solid foundation upon which we can continue to push ahead and accomplish even more for Microgaming and our patrons in the future.
Statement by the Departing CEO
Fisk was given high praise by Andrew Clucas, the CEO who will soon be leaving his position. Clucas said of Fisk,
“I have had the privilege of working closely with Stephen and there is no more qualified candidate for the job than he is.“
He further expressed his confidence that Stephen and the rest of the team will continue to be successful when he departs Microgaming and have no doubt that they will accomplish many amazing things.
Moving ahead, Fisk intends to build on the accomplishments made by Clucas, preserving the culture of change, unity, and integrity at Microgaming while working towards achieving more success for the firm and its consumers.
